Questions

How do I convert a PDF BoQ to Excel?

Choose your PDF, check the preview of the first rows, and press Convert to Excel. You download an .xlsx file with the table laid out in rows and columns.

Will the numbers work in formulas?

Yes. Quantities, rates and amounts are saved as real numbers, with thousands separators removed, so you can total and price them straight away.

How accurate is it?

Tables with ruled lines convert cell for cell, including merged header cells and text on two lines inside a cell. Tables without lines are worked out from how the columns line up, and may need a little tidying.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

Not directly. A scanned page is a picture with no text inside it. Run it through our OCR PDF tool first to add the text, then convert.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything happens inside your browser on your own device. Your files are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.
