Questions
How do I password-protect a PDF?
Choose your PDF, type a password twice, and press Protect PDF. Anyone opening the file will need that password.
How strong is the protection?
The file is encrypted with AES-256, the strongest standard PDF encryption. A long password that is hard to guess matters more than anything else.
What if I forget the password?
It cannot be recovered — not by us or anyone else, because the password never leaves your device. Keep a copy of the unprotected file.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything happens inside your browser on your own device. Your files are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.
